Ilene graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from WGU Texas in 2015. She has several decades years' experience in the bookkeeping and accounting industry working in different sectors including banking, medical, and construction. Most recently, she has spent the last four years growing and running her own business, advising small business owners how to use Quickbooks Online to perform their own bookkeeping. Ilene has an eye for detail and feels a sense of accomplishment when the numbers balance. To unwind, she enjoys weightlifting, dancing, playing pool, and aerial silks.

Joshua brings more than 18 years of experience in operations and workforce management to the Global AI Internet Freedom Fund. His knowledge of BPO encompasses customer and technical support and includes management and supervision of teams. Born in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines, Joshua studied at Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting. His other passion is fashion design and he has showcased his designs internationally, as well as enjoying playing volleyball and working out.

Simon is an American-British entrepreneur with experience in financial markets (Standard Chartered Bank) and academia. Simon started to buy and build data businesses in 2014, building them sustainably in 8 countries, he now lives in Virginia, USA, with his wife and daughter. Simon is English, speaks 4 languages (6 on a good day!). He is an alumnus of University College London (BA (Hons), MA), the University of Edinburgh (PGDip by Research), the University of Exeter (M.Ed) and the University of Cambridge, and is recipient for a scholarship in Artificial Intelligence from the UK's EPSRC. In his spare time he enjoys music, sports documentaries, scuba diving and traveling. He is a member of the Technology, Innovation and Operations Committee of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives.

Steve brings two decades in B2B software and services sales, leading new customer acquisition and revenue growth from Commercial to Fortune 500 accounts. For the past 9 years, he has focused on developing go-to-market strategies, expanding markets, and building partner networks for companies with AI-powered data solutions on cloud platforms. He is a US Veteran and a veteran of hundreds of successful, large-enterprise software and services projects for his customers. He is a Chicago native, loves 'da' Cubs, 'da' Bears, and summertime in the city. He enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, and finding new music with his wife, and raising their 2 boys.

Pete has 2 decades of experience in the IT industry. After completing an MSc in Computer Science in 2000 Pete worked in early stage startups in London and Sydney before returning to the UK and developing safety training systems for UK power generation companies. After joining award-winning agency Tak! Pete went on to found several product companies such as: Workfu (acquired 2012) Mixture (invested in by Redgate) Quickcast (acquired by Lookback Inc in 2015) Pete worked at Lookback for three years before leaving to co-found artisan bakery and brewery: Docker based in Kent, UK where he lives with his family. Pete has worked with AWS since its public launch and continues to enjoy prototyping on the platform.

Roselle is an accomplished professional who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Science and Technology of the Southern Philippines. She possesses 14 years experienc in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry. Roselle has a passion for cooking and loves to travel to experience different cuisines.

Nkanyiso has 8 years of experience in enterprise networking and is an expert in AWS networking infrastructure solutions. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology and an Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems. Nkanyiso  has a deep understanding of how to architect scalable and resilient systems on AWS, how to automate network infrastructure and excels at helping organizations migrate their infrastructure to the cloud by optimizing their networks for performance and security. Nkanyiso is (currently!) based in San Jose, Costa Rica, where he lives with his family. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, chess, and exploring the outdoors.

Melody graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electro-Mechanical Technology at Mindanao Polytechnic State College, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. She started her career in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry as a technical support /  customer service representative for 8 years. Her experience in resolving customer’s inquiries and technical issues became her edge towards leading a team for 2 years through chat support. During her spare time she bakes cakes to sell online.
