Product Associate
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Washington, D.C. Metro / Virginia — Hybrid, with availability during U.S. Eastern business hours.
About the Role
The Global AI Internet Freedom Fund is seeking a Product Operations Associate to support Terratree®, our Amazon marketplace business, and the continued development of Aitium®, our commerce automation and intelligence platform.
This role sits between marketplace operations, product management, and engineering. You will help translate operational needs into product requirements, test Amazon integrations, investigate data and workflow issues, and improve the tools used to manage listings, orders, inventory, pricing, fulfillment, and reporting.
The position is especially suited to someone who understands Amazon Seller Central, Amazon’s Selling Partner API, and command-line tools, but who does not need to be a full-time software engineer.
Responsibilities
* Support terratree® marketplace operations across Amazon Seller Central and related Amazon services.
* Help define product requirements for tools that manage listings, orders, inventory, pricing, fulfillment, fees, and reporting.
* Work with Selling Partner API data, reports, feeds, notifications, and application workflows.
* Test SP-API integrations and verify that application outputs match Seller Central and operational records.
* Investigate issues involving ASINs, SKUs, GTINs, listings, inventory, orders, settlements, fulfillment, and account status.
* Use command-line tools to review logs, run scripts, inspect files, test APIs, and support troubleshooting.
* Work with JSON, CSV, API responses, and structured marketplace data.
* Write user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases, and operational documentation.
* Coordinate with engineering to reproduce bugs and validate fixes.
* Maintain process guides, release notes, FAQs, and internal training materials.
* Support launches of new marketplace features, automations, and operational workflows.
* Gather feedback from operations, customers, and internal users and translate it into clear product improvements.
* Help maintain the product backlog and prioritize operational issues affecting terratree® and aitium®.
Qualifications
* At least two years of experience in ecommerce, marketplace operations, product operations, business analysis, or a related role.
* Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central.
* Understanding of Amazon listings, ASINs, SKUs, inventory, orders, fulfillment, fees, and marketplace reporting.
* Familiarity with Amazon’s Selling Partner API or another commerce API.
* Comfortable using command-line tools in macOS, Linux, AWS CloudShell, or a similar environment.
* Ability to work with JSON, CSV files, API documentation, and structured data.
* Strong analytical, written communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to explain operational requirements clearly to technical team members.
Preferred
* Experience with SP-API reports, feeds, notifications, orders, listings, or catalog APIs.
* Familiarity with Amazon Business, FBA, FBM, AWD, Amazon Ads, or Amazon Marketplace settlement data.
* Experience using tools such as the AWS CLI, Git, curl, jq, Python scripts, or shell commands.
* Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, CodeBuild, or DynamoDB.
* Experience testing APIs with Postman or similar tools.
* Basic understanding of SQL, Python, or JavaScript.
* AWS certification, or willingness to earn one.
